The appellants seek reversal of a decision made by the Waterloo Community School District board, which was upheld by the area Education Agency 7 board, denying school transportation for their son.

They first requested a boundary change by exchanging land with the Jesup Community School District; the district denied this request. Then they requested a review of a board decision to reimburse them for transportation rather than provide the actual school bus transportation; the district denied this request also. Both of these decisions were upheld by the Area Education Agency board.

It is determined that that it is more equitable for the district to provide school bus transportation in this situation than it is for the parents to be provided reimbursement for transportation.

The local board's decision is overruled.
