The appellants seek reversal of a decision made by the Chariton Community School District regarding a grade received by their children in music class.

The children had major parts in a musical, and they did not attend as the family attended a sports event with relatives from out of town. This absence resulted in them receiving a "C" for the quarter. The appellants are contesting the lower grade which was assigned as a result of the students not fully meeting the established criteria for a higher grade. The primary issue is the "fairness" of the grade.

The appellants have not shown sufficient cause for the local board's decision to be overturned.

The local board's decision is affirmed.
