Appellant requests a waiver of Iowa Administrative Code 281-341.4(3)"a", that requests a number of in-person visits by a home school assistance program's supervising teacher.  The child has a rare and severe autoinflammatory disease which suppresses the immune system, making him extremely susceptible to COVID-19.  The Department finds and concludes there is clear and convincing evidence K.W. has met the burden of persuasion.  

Therefore, it is ORDERED as to the child of K.W., the requirement of in-person visits by a supervising teacher as contained in IAC 281-31.4(3)"a" is waived for the 2021-2022 school year.
