Western Christian High School voluntarily left the Lakes Conference in January 2021.  In March, 2021, they applied for membership in the Siouxland Conference, which the conference rejected in May, 2021.  On appeal, a mediation session was held, per Iowa Admin. Code rule 37.4.  The mediation team consisted of Jean Berger, IGHSAU and Tom Keating, IHSAA, representatives from the Siouxland Conference as well as their attorneys, Danielle Haindfield and Elizabeth Heffernan.  There was no agreement at mediation and hearing was set.  The mediation team's recommendation and finding that Western Christian was not unfairly excluded from a conference, the application from Western Christian was DENIED.
