Open enrollment applications were filed on June 1, 2020 for G.F. and L.F. requesting they attend Stanton CSD. The question whether the application was being filed late due to pervasive harassment or severe health was answered "no." In July, the parents became aware the district decided to require teachers and staff war mask to address the spread of COVID-19.

The Red Oak CSD proposed accommodations or modifications for G.F. The Stanton CSD were not requiring teachers to wear masks. Parents stated that face coverings put G.F. at an extreme disadvantage for communication and were fearful about the extra challenges that teachers wearing mask might place on him. The parents made clear they would not come back to Red Oak CSD under any circumstances.

The decision of the Red Oak CSD made on July 28, 2020 denying an open enrollment request for G.F. is Affirmed.
