Full Text
Summary

Appellant sought reversal of a decision of West Central to terminate her participation in the Child and Adult Care Food Program and the determination that Appellant reimburse West Central in the amount of $8,478.48.

Appellant owned and operated a child daycare in Woodbine, Iowa. She was a participant in the CACFP which is administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. CACFP is a federal program that provides reimbursement for meals and snacks provided to children in daycare home and centers. These homes must be supervised by a sponsoring organization, in this case the Appellee, which is located in Harlan, Iowa.

Appellant did not have a certificate of registration of her daycare home with DHS and admitted knowing that the certificate was required. Appellant maintained that all of the money she received from CACFP went to her daycare. Appellant stated she was falsely accused of improper supervision of a child and that's why she didn't have the certificate.

Termination of Appellant from CACFP by West Central was affirmed.
