The appellant seeks to have the State Board of Education reverse a decision made by the Fort Dodge Community School board of education to close Badger Elementary School

The superintendent determined closing some elementary schools and other school facilities and converting would save the district money. The board provided opportunities for public comment via two public hearings, and directors visited the attendance centers. After the decision was approved, administrators and directors visited the schools in question to speak with the students/

The appellant contends the board's decision was not supported by substantial evidence and constituted an abuse of discretion.

The decision made by the Fort Dodge Community School board of education is affirmed.
