The appellants seeks to reverse a decision made by the Iowa High School Athletic Association executive board denying a request for an exception to the eight-semester participation limit.

Due to problems at home, at school, and with the law, the student participated in athletics for one semester. Although he was rehabilitated, the athletic association felt it would send a wrong message to allow an exception in this case, as his circumstances were not beyond his control.

The decision made by the Iowa High School Athletic Association executive board is affirmed.
