Summary

The appellants seek reversal of a decision made by the Waterloo Community School District to reorganize the district, change boundaries and consequently close certain schools.

Their original affidavit of appeal raised five issues: the failure of the district's decision to cure the noncompliance problem with respect for the DE's desegregation guidelines; that the task force did not approve the plan that was presented to the local board; there was a remark made by a member of administration about the politics behind the decision and; the unknown ramifications of keeping Devonshire school open.

The local board's decision is affirmed.
